Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that her three-year-old daughter, Bambi, placed someone in a headlock during a trip to Pizza Express. The former Love Island star said she was 'very wrong' to think Bambi had grown out of bad behaviour.
Incident at Pizza Express
Molly, 27, said a recent trip to the pizza restaurant ended in disaster when she took Bambi and newborn son Midas to meet friends. In her latest YouTube video, Molly-Mae, who shares her two children with fiancé Tommy Fury, said she was 'very wrong' to think Bambi had grown out of bad behaviour.
"All I'm going to say is, I thought Bambi was out of her aggressive era. I was very wrong," she said. "Headlocks were put in place. Not by me, by her. It should have been by me. It was bad."
She added: "We're in the depths of it right now, and I'm really just trying to keep my head above water."
Support from fans
While Molly may have been concerned, her comment section was instantly flooded with support as other mums explained that Bambi is more than likely adjusting to having a sibling.
One said: "Bambi 100 per cent is feeling her newborn brother is taking her mummy's attention away. It happened with my daughter when her brother arrived. Her world has changed and she will be happy but change is massive for children and their emotions are all over the place. Never give up and never give in. She will learn. You're doing a good job."
Another penned: "Stop being so hard on yourself Molly! You can literally post a video of you just talking about the sky for 40 mins and we'd all watch." While a third typed: "She's reacting to sharing both of you with another baby. Just tell her firmly that her behaviour is not acceptable, remove her from the situation immediately. Go home and don't speak of it again."
A fourth fan went on to say: "She will get past it, least you are trying to address it, lots of children go through this stage, good parenting from you both, and being aware of it." "Probably just with the new baby, it's hard for her to adjust, kids feel left out even when they are not, you're a super mum," added a fifth.
Previous biting incident
This isn't the first time Molly has addressed Bambi's behaviour. Last year, she revealed that her daughter had bitten children at nursery, telling fans: "It's the complete opposite of what I want my child to be."
Reflecting on the incident, she said at the time: "I got a call from nursery today to tell me that she has bitten another child at nursery. This isn't the first time it's happened. Basically at her nursery at the minute, there's a bit of a biting pandemic going on and all of the children are biting one another."
"I got a call the other day to tell me that she'd been bitten and she came home with a full-on bite mark on her arm. I wasn't even cross or upset about it because I knew it would be a matter of days before they'd call me to say she'd done the same thing back to another child."
"I feel like, especially in her nursery, they're all seeing each other doing it and copying the behaviour basically."
Molly also shared a video of Bambi saying she was going to bite somebody. The child said: "I'm gonna bite someone. I’m gonna bite Dory." Molly-Mae then tells her daughter that she shouldn't be biting anyone, replying: "No, we don't use our mouth to bite do we? What do you use your mouth for?"
The pair then spoke about how they should use their mouths only "for food". However, it may not have quite gone through for Bambi as she then carried on: "We bite… Emily. We bite… Dory."
