Model on Dog Leash Stuns Santa Monica Shoppers in Euphoria Stunt
Model on Dog Leash Shocks Santa Monica Shoppers

Madelynn May, a 23-year-old model and content creator, left shoppers stunned after being paraded through Santa Monica on a dog leash. The bizarre stunt, inspired by a scene from the hit TV drama Euphoria, took place in one of California's busiest tourist hotspots, drawing stares, photos, and mixed reactions from onlookers.

Euphoria Inspiration Sparks Unusual Roleplay

The idea came from a scene in Euphoria where actress Sydney Sweeney dressed up as a dog while playing an OnlyFans creator. Madelynn found the concept “super cool” and decided to recreate it. Her friend Laurel Honey, a 6ft 2in goth content creator, took charge of the leash, while another friend, Alana Rose, joined them. Madelynn, who is 4ft 11in, said the height difference made the stunt work well.

“I thought it was super cool and I wanted to do it,” Madelynn said. “Then my friend said she was going to be in Santa Monica and I thought, ‘Perfect, let's walk me like a dog.’”

Mixed Reactions from the Public

The stunt immediately attracted attention. Curious onlookers stopped to stare, film, and snap photos as the trio walked through packed restaurants and busy streets. While some found it hilarious, others were baffled. One woman approached them and said, “That’s hot, I love it.” Conversely, a group of guys asked, “What are these weirdos doing?” The host of a restaurant even went to get the manager to ask them to leave.

Not content with simply being led on a leash, Madelynn began barking at amused passers-by. “I thought it'd be funny to bark at people, but I only did it to people who were obviously going to think it was funny,” she explained.

Viral Success Online

After the stunt, the Nevada-based creator shared clips on social media, where they racked up more than 1.7 million views. Madelynn, who has over 709,000 Instagram followers, said, “Basically everybody who saw us stayed and stared. I mean, how could you not?”

The stunt has sparked debate online, with some praising the creativity and others criticizing the public display. Regardless, Madelynn remains unapologetic, embracing the attention the bizarre roleplay has brought.
