Miranda Kerr Reveals Snapchat CEO Husband Evan Spiegel ‘Avoids Screens at All Times’

Miranda Kerr has revealed that her husband, Snapchat co-founder and CEO Evan Spiegel, “avoids screens at all times” despite his role at the social media company. The Australian model shared the insight in a recent interview with The Times.

Kerr, 40, explained that Spiegel, 34, grew up without a television and was encouraged by his mother to build his own computer if he wanted one. “He grew up without a TV. His mother told him that if he wanted a computer, he would have to make it himself. So he went to the store, bought all the parts and did,” she said.

The couple, who married in 2017 and have three children together, prefer to “blast music in our house and have dance parties all the time,” Kerr added, noting they are “big fans of Shania Twain and Stevie Nicks.”

Spiegel co-founded Snapchat in 2011 while at Stanford University, becoming the world’s youngest billionaire at age 24. He became CEO in 2016. Despite his tech background, Kerr said he avoids screens in his personal life.

Kerr also spoke about her mother’s cancer diagnosis when she was 16, which inspired her commitment to organic ingredients and holistic health. “When I was 16, my mother was diagnosed with cancer in her spleen, and I started to take a closer look at what I was putting in and on my body,” she said.
