A millionaire has criticised the reality TV show The Block, claiming the auction process was unfair. The contestant, who wished to remain anonymous, said the bidding did not reflect the true value of the properties.
The auction, which took place last weekend, saw several properties sell for below reserve prices. The millionaire argued that this was due to a lack of transparency and poor organisation by the show's producers.
In a statement, the contestant said: 'The whole experience left a bitter taste. We worked hard for months, and then the auction felt rigged against us.'
The Block producers have not yet responded to the allegations. However, a source close to the show said that all auctions are conducted fairly and in accordance with industry standards.
