Millie Mackintosh has reflected on a year of heartbreak as she marked turning 37. The twice-divorced reality star had a turbulent 12 months which saw her second marriage to Hugo Taylor come to an end.
On Sunday, the former Made In Chelsea star made a wish as she blew out a candle on a birthday cake. She wore a magenta pink bikini in a short video clip, assisted by off-camera aids who applied makeup, shades and lit her candle.
A year of change
Millie wrote in the caption: "37 trips around the sun" with a sun emoji and white heart. She continued: "This year has changed me more than I ever imagined. It has been a year of letting go, starting over, finding strength I didn't know I had, and learning that rebuilding your life takes courage, patience and a lot of faith. There have been moments that have broken my heart, but they've also made space for so much growth, gratitude and hope."
Looking forward, she added: "As I step into 37, I'm incredibly proud of the woman I've become. Not because I've got everything figured out, but because I kept going, even when life felt uncertain. I'm walking into this next year with a full heart, a clearer sense of who I am, and excitement for everything that's still to come."
Ex-husband's response
Hugo Taylor responded to the post with "Happy birthday" and a cake emoji. The couple, who share daughters Sienna, six, and Aurelia, four, split earlier this year. A source confirmed to the Daily Mail in February: "Millie and Hugo are currently going through a separation and have sadly decided to split." The source added: "They have known each other for many years, and in recent weeks, have had serious conversations about their future, ultimately deciding it's better for them both to part ways." Their main priority remains their children and family life.
Millie was previously married to rapper Professor Green from 2013 to 2016. She and Hugo first dated on Made In Chelsea until an alleged affair with co-star Rosie Fortescue ended their relationship. They later rekindled and married in 2018.
