Millie Mackintosh 'in a better place' with new man after split

Millie Mackintosh is moving on after her split from husband Hugo Taylor, with a source telling Metro she is 'in a much better place' with her new man.

In August, the former Made In Chelsea star, 37, shared a video of herself breaking down in tears after moving into a rental home following her separation from her former co-star, 40, after seven years of marriage. The couple announced in February 2026 that they were divorcing after having 'serious conversations' about their future together.

New romance confirmed

Millie, who shares daughters Sienna, six, and Aurelia, four, with Hugo, has now confirmed a new romance, with the Daily Mail revealing her mystery man as Welsh fitness fanatic Matthew Tanner, 38. The pair were seen walking hand-in-hand during a dog walk in Chelsea last week.

An insider told Metro: 'Millie's split from Hugo was difficult; they'd been together for so many years after all. And they have two daughters together.'

'It'll undoubtedly upset him to see her with a new man, but she's in a much better place and Matthew has really helped to get her to that point.'

Legal proceedings and history

Earlier this year Millie and Hugo began legal proceedings to officially formalise their separation, with reports claiming they wanted to 'keep everything stable' for the sake of their two young daughters.

The pair met as teenagers before joining the E4 reality series, which has catapulted names like Sam Thompson, Spencer Matthews, and Jamie Laing to fame. Millie was one of Made in Chelsea's first-ever stars, joining at the age of just 21 in 2011 and leaving in 2013. Hugo was also part of the original cast.

The ex-lovebirds officially started dating in 2010, with their squabbles and scandals playing out on the programme. Following her first split from Hugo in 2011, Millie embarked on a high-profile romance with rapper Professor Green, whom she wed two years later.

Previous marriage

The 42-year-old musician (real name Stephen Manderson) and author separated in 2015, with Millie having since revealed they both had their 'own struggles' and 'thought [they] could fix each other,' contributing to the marriage's demise.

Stephen recently revealed he and Millie are back in touch while appearing on Jamie Laing's Great Company podcast. He said: 'She's beautiful. There's no resentment in me.'

'We were not good for each other at that time. We didn't get married for the wrong reasons. We loved each other. It was intoxicating.'
