Millie Bobby Brown Shares Family Plans After Adopting Daughter

Millie Bobby Brown has revealed if she plans to have any more children with her husband Jake Bongiovi after adopting their baby girl. The Stranger Things star, 22, opened up about motherhood just a year after she and Jake adopted their first child.

Millie's Childhood Dream

In a new interview, she explained that she had always wanted to adopt and it was part of her "childhood dream" to do so. "I always, always wanted to adopt. It was always part of my childhood dreams. Every time I was at home and I was, you know, five, six years old, my parents were like, 'You had your baby dolls. They were all adopted,'" she said.

Speaking on Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast this week, she added: "I never had any of them myself. And I never pretended I was pregnant. It's not because I don't want that. Hopefully one day that's in my future. So for me, my husband and I took a lot of time to focus on what that story and what that journey looks like. And then we embarked on it."

Adoption Announcement

Millie and Jake adopted their baby last year. Their exciting announcement came in August 2025, when the Enola Holmes star shared: "This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in peace and privacy."

Following the arrival of the baby, Jon Bon Jovi - Jake's father - broke his silence on the arrival of the little girl. He said: "They adopted a girl, we met the baby obviously and immediately that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean? Your baby. It's beautiful. I want to see pictures, like, every other day. I'm that pain in the butt guy already and, yeah, it's cool."

Young Marriage

The couple also hit the headlines when they got married young. The pair held a small ceremony in the United States, followed by a larger celebration in Italy. "We blessed it because we get it?" Bon Jovi said as he reflected on the couple's decision to marry young. "They're mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young. Her and Jake fell in love and we just thought, 'Okay, we'll support this.'"

Big Family Plans

Millie has always been open about her idea of motherhood. She previously explained: "My mum actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it's been my thing since before I met Jake. Since I was a baby… I wanted to be a mum just like the way my mum was to me. Jake knows how important it is to me… I really want a family. I really want a big family. I'm one of four. He's one of four. So, it is definitely in our future. But, for me, I don't see having your own child… as really any different [from] adopting."
