Millie Bobby Brown, best known for her role in Stranger Things, has announced her engagement to Jake Bongiovi, her boyfriend of two and a half years. The 19-year-old actress shared the news on Instagram with a picture of the couple, captioned with lyrics from Taylor Swift's song Lover: 'I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all.' A white love heart emoji accompanied the post, and an engagement ring was visible on her finger.
Bongiovi, 20, an actor and the son of legendary singer Jon Bon Jovi, also posted about the engagement on his own account, simply writing 'forever' alongside two photos of the couple. Among the celebrities congratulating the pair was singer Pixie Lott, who commented: 'Omg!!!! Congratulations you two so happy for you eeeee.'
The announcement comes after weeks of social media speculation that the couple had become engaged. Brown first introduced Bongiovi to her followers in June 2021 with a photo on Instagram, and the pair later confirmed their relationship. In another post in January, Brown referred to Bongiovi as her 'partner for life.'
The English actress rose to fame as a child star on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, whose forthcoming fifth season is set to be the show's last. However, a prequel is planned for London's West End, and an animated TV series has also been announced by Netflix. Bongiovi recently landed his second major acting role in a new coming-of-age film, Rockbottom.
