Mike Tindall Reveals Kate Middleton's Competitive Side with Prosecco Pong

Mike Tindall has disclosed that the Princess of Wales becomes 'uber competitive' when playing a party game called prosecco pong, a variation of beer pong using prosecco instead of beer. The former England rugby star, who is married to Zara Tindall, made the revelation in an interview with Woman & Home magazine.

Tindall, who is Princess Anne's son-in-law, said he has played the game with Kate at parties. He noted that sport and competition are prevalent throughout the Royal Family. 'I knew that the Princess of Wales was uber competitive because I'd seen her play a drinking game called beer pong, but normally we play prosecco pong!' he told the magazine.

This is not the first time Tindall has mentioned Kate's competitive streak. In 2023, she, Prince William, and Princess Anne appeared on an episode of his podcast, The Good, The Bad and the Rugby, where he made similar comments. Kate laughed off the claim, saying she is 'not competitive at all', but Tindall insisted he had seen her play beer pong.

Tindall also made a light-hearted jab at Prince Harry, suggesting he used to be 'fun' before his move to California. Speaking about his 2011 wedding to Zara, Tindall remarked that co-host James Haskell had not made a fool of himself, unlike 'Harry, when he was fun'. Harry is godfather to Tindall's second daughter, Lena, but their friendship is said to have cooled since Harry and Meghan Markle moved to Montecito.

Tindall, who won 75 caps for England and was part of the 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning squad, lives with Zara and their three children at Aston Farm on Princess Anne's Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire.
