Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger made a rare public appearance with his 14-year-old son Lucas at the premiere of the film he produced, 'Get On Up', the story of James Brown. The event marked one of the few occasions the father and son have been seen together in the spotlight.
Lucas, whose mother is Brazilian model Luciana Gimenez, was noted for his striking resemblance to his famous father, albeit much younger. Observers commented on the strong family likeness, with Lucas displaying similar features to the legendary musician.
The pair were previously spotted together at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, watching the semi-final match between Brazil and Germany in Belo Horizonte. However, Jagger's presence was controversially blamed by some Brazilian fans and media for the national team's heavy defeat, a label the singer dismissed.
In a recent interview on the Today show, Jagger opened up about the past year, describing it as “very hard” following the suicide of his partner, L'Wren Scott. He expressed gratitude for the support he received from those around him, adding that he focused on touring with The Stones and working on the film to keep busy.
Jagger's appearance with his son highlights a more personal side of the iconic musician, who has largely kept his family life out of the public eye.
