Mick Fleetwood, the 78-year-old drummer and co-founder of Fleetwood Mac, has tied the knot for the fifth time. He recently shared photos from a honeymoon in Tahiti with his new wife, Elizabeth, who is 56. On Instagram, he wrote: "The South Pacific does its magic!!! A honeymoon with my love Elizabeth… creating moments to be remembered!! Sun health and happiness!!"
Fleetwood's romantic history is as eventful as the band's famously turbulent love lives. His first wife was model Jenny Boyd, whom he met when both were 16 in London's Notting Hill. They married in 1970 when Boyd was pregnant, but divorced in 1976 after she had an affair with guitarist Bob Weston. They briefly remarried to help their daughters emigrate to the US, but split for good in 1978 when Fleetwood's own affair with bandmate Stevie Nicks came to light.
Fleetwood's relationship with Nicks lasted several years. In his memoir, he described it as "a crazy love affair" that suited their needs at the time. It ended around the time he began an affair with Sara Recor, then wife of a music manager and best friend of Nicks. Recor left her husband and moved in with Fleetwood in 1978; they married in 1988 and divorced in 1995. Their relationship inspired Nicks' song "Sara".
In 1995, Fleetwood married public relations executive Lynn Frankel, with whom he had twin daughters in 2002. The marriage was his longest, ending in divorce in 2015. His fifth marriage to Elizabeth marks another chapter in the drummer's colourful personal life.
