Michelle Keegan has told fans that her 'hints' to Mark Wright have worked as she was seen living out a dream during their recent trip to Paris together.
The Stockport-born actress, who grew up in Salford, recently headed to the French capital, also known as the 'city of love', with her husband, Mark Wright, to see Celine Dion live on stage. The iconic French-Canadian singer kicked off her residency at the Plenitude Arena in Paris earlier in September, marking her first full-length concert for almost six years.
A long-awaited concert
Last weekend, it was finally Michelle's turn to see the My Heart Will Go On and It's All Coming Back to Me Now singer for herself. She started by documenting her arrival in Paris, admitting she was on the hunt for the beloved singer.
Ahead of getting ready for the concert, the 39-year-old was seen walking through her hotel, miming the words to the 2002 track, A New Day Has Come, which she captioned: "See you soon @celinedion on my way."
She later shared clips from the special concert with her millions of followers and reshared one from her Heart Radio host hubby Mark, who captured his wife singing and dancing to That's the Way It Is, which she captioned: "Waited a long time for tonight, you can probably tell [crying laughing emoji]."
Dropping subtle hints
Mark also shared his own pictures and videos from the trip, which, as well as the Celine Dion concert, featured a stop by the Eiffel Tower, coffee stops and trying the delicious local French cuisine. "A weekend in Paris with a Celine super fan @michkeegan," he captioned the post he shared with his two million followers.
Now, Michelle has revealed how her trip came after dropping some hints to her husband, to whom she has been married since 2015. Sharing a carousel of images on Instagram, including video clips from the concert and her and Mark's sightseeing around Paris, she told her millions of followers: "Turns out dropping subtle hints for months really does work… [crying laughing emoji]. Celine Dion in Paris … magic."
Sister-in-law Jessica Wright was quick to respond, as she joked: "Mine didn’t ! In the end I wasn’t even subtle [crying laughing emoji]," which amused others who had seen Michelle's post.
Return to ITV
The trip came as Michelle also celebrated her return to ITV after years away. The former Coronation Street star can be seen leading the network's latest drama, The Blame.
The six-part series is based on the 2023 thriller of the same name by author Charlotte Langley and sees former Coronation Street star Michelle take on the role of DI Emma Crane, while her co-star, The Sandman and The Dirt star Douglas Booth, portrays DI Tom Radley.
The series follows the detective duo from Wakestead Police Station during their investigation into the death of a teenage figure skater, and the series "dives into secrets, suspicion and systemic corruption - all under the surface of a seemingly quiet town".
