Olly Murs Warns Mark Wright Over Baby Palma: 'Enjoy Majorca While You Can'

Olly Murs has issued a light-hearted warning to his friend Mark Wright about the challenges of fatherhood, as both men navigate life with young children. The singer, 41, and his wife Amelia, 32, are expecting their second child while caring for their toddler Madison. Meanwhile, former TOWIE star Mark and his wife Michelle Keegan welcomed daughter Palma in March.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Olly recalled his own experience: 'People said to me, "Olly, enjoy the first four months. They’re the best time." And I was like, "What?" When Madison came it didn’t feel like that.' He added, 'I told Wrighty that and he took it on board. I’ve been saying, "Enjoy your trip to Majorca, because, trust me, when Palma is crawling or walking in a few months, that’s a whole other level."'

Olly also warned about the weaning stage, describing his own anxiety: 'You think they’re choking and your wife’s like, "It’s fine – she’s just got to learn how to use her mouth." What’s it called? The gag reflex. I’m like, "Babe, I can’t. I’m off to sit in the other room."' Despite the challenges, he hopes their daughters become friends, saying, 'With us being parents at the same time, it’s going to be special.'

Outside of parenting, Olly has just finished a tour and continues to host his Heart FM weekend radio show alongside Mark. The couple are also ambassadors for M&S, fronting The Parent Hood, the retailer's first Baby Club. Amelia, who had a difficult birth with Madison, admitted she sometimes feels 'overwhelmed' at the thought of two children under two, adding, 'The recovery was brutal and I wish people had been more honest about that.'
