Leaked recordings of US President Donald Trump's interviews with radio host Howard Stern between 1993 and 2015 have revealed crude remarks about women, including admitting to groping his wife Melania in public and bragging about sex with 'some of the greats in history'. The conversations, anonymously leaked to Factbase, show Trump and Stern frequently rating women's appearances and discussing sexual encounters.
In one exchange, Stern asked if Trump had 'banged some of the greatest beauties on the planet'. When asked about STD tests, Trump replied: 'I own 25 percent of Goodyear Tire and Rubber'—a euphemism for using a condom. In another interview, Stern inquired about Trump's third wife, Melania. Trump responded: 'I'm very well behaved, actually, and almost always I'm very down the middle.'
The two men also compared Melania to Trump's first wife, Ivana. Trump described Ivana's Czech accent as 'terrible' and said he 'couldn't stand it'. Stern refused to release the recordings during the 2016 campaign, calling it a 'betrayal'. Trump later claimed people 'love' the interviews, saying he 'never anticipated running for office' and could 'have fun with Howard'.
During his campaign, Trump appeared to moderate his language. In a 2015 interview, he declined Stern's invitation to rate journalist Megyn Kelly's attractiveness, saying: 'In the old days I would not have minded answering that question, but today I'll take a pass.' However, other vulgar comments have resurfaced, including a leaked recording of Trump bragging about grabbing women 'by the pussy', which sparked widespread outrage.
