Mel B Hints at Spice Girls Reunion for 30th Anniversary of Wannabe

Mel B has hinted that the Spice Girls may reunite to mark the 30th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe. The singer, known as Scary Spice, said the group 'should be doing something' to celebrate the milestone, though she stressed that nothing has been confirmed.

Speaking to the Press Association, the 51-year-old said: 'It's our 30th anniversary, I do think we should be doing something. Whether that actually happens or not is another story, but we're all talking about it because, if not anything, just for our fans.'

The Spice Girls rose to fame in 1996 with Wannabe and went on to release hits including Who Do You Think You Are?, Stop and Viva Forever. They went on an indefinite hiatus in 2000 but have reunited sporadically, including for the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony and a 2019 tour without Victoria Beckham.

Mel B also discussed her children, who she says call her 'vintage' because she remains 'stuck in the 90s'. She is fronting a campaign with O2 to encourage people to put down their phones and combat 'doom-scrolling'.
