Mel B has referred to her fellow Spice Girls as “d***heads” after revealing she was removed from the group’s WhatsApp chat earlier this year. The singer, known as Scary Spice, made the comments during an upcoming episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks on Sky Max.
According to reports, the 49-year-old explained her expulsion by saying: “Because I’m Northern and say what I think and feel and I’m constantly saying to the girls, ‘We need to go back on tour’.” When asked again why she was “ditched”, she replied: “Because they’re d***heads.”
Mel B had previously confirmed being “kicked out” of the chat during an appearance on This Morning in April, citing her excitement about the group’s 30th anniversary. She also hinted at a reunion on The Jonathan Ross Show, stating there is “definitely” something in the works, though she risked being removed from the chat again for revealing too much.
The Spice Girls originally formed in 1994 and last performed together as a full lineup at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party in April. The group—minus Beckham—toured the UK and Ireland in 2019, their first performances since the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony.
