Melanie Brown MBE has married her husband, Rory McPhee, for the second time in a 'spiritual and sexy' Moroccan ceremony. The Spice Girls star, 50, and hair stylist, 37, had already tied the knot legally in London at St Paul's Cathedral weeks earlier. Their second wedding took place at the Selman Hotel in Marrakesh, attended by close family, including her three children and sister Danielle Brown, as well as Rory's family.
Spice Girls bandmate Melanie C, who missed the London ceremony due to tour commitments, was among the guests. 'What a weekend!' she said. The bride wore a custom red crystal gown by American designer Justin Alexander, collaborating with Evelie Bridal. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline filled with red crystals, a daring side split, and a cathedral-length train. The sheer silhouette took 850 hours to create by six artisans.
Melanie completed her look with a Moroccan-inspired veil in mocha tulle accented with red crystals. Her husband Rory opted for a traditional black-tie look by Alexander McQueen. Evelie Bridal owner Caroline Black said Mel 'loved the idea of a red dress—something bold, with lots of shimmer—but it also had to feel light and easy to move in.'
