Meghan Trainor sells $6.8m mansion on same day she cancels tour

Meghan Trainor has sold her Los Angeles mansion for $6,835,000 on the same day she announced the cancellation of her upcoming tour, according to reports. The 32-year-old singer purchased the property in 2020 for $6.6 million, netting a modest gain from the quick sale.

The 14,164-square-foot estate sits on over an acre of land and features seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms. Amenities include a private recording studio, a mirror-lined gym, a full-size basketball court, and a resort-style outdoor area with a pool, waterslide, spa, tennis court, putting green, and fire pit.

Inside, the home boasts a sweeping double staircase, open-plan living spaces, a chef's kitchen, and a luxurious primary suite with dual walk-in wardrobes, a spa-style bathroom, and a private terrace. There is also a full arcade room with a pool table and pinball machines.

The property previously belonged to Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green and was featured on the reality show Flipping Out. Nearby neighbours reportedly include Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner, Selena Gomez, and Jennifer Lopez.

On the same day as the sale, Trainor announced via Instagram the cancellation of her Get In Girl Tour, which was scheduled to begin on 12 June. She cited the challenges of balancing a new album, a nationwide tour, and welcoming a new baby as reasons for her decision.

Trainor, who shares her children with husband Daryl Sabara, said she needs to focus on being present with her family. She apologised to fans but assured them she will be back soon and is looking forward to them hearing her new music. The singer also revealed she has been undergoing therapy while working through marriage challenges.
