Meghan Markle's appearance on MasterChef Australia on Sunday pulled in 1.16 million viewers, making it the show's strongest Sunday episode in three years. Streaming figures showed 118,000 viewers on demand overnight, a 62% jump from the previous year.
But TalkTV presenter Kevin O'Sullivan claimed the Duchess of Sussex is 'not pleased' after Prince Harry suffered a devastating legal blow. Harry, along with six other prominent figures, lost a High Court privacy case and faces a legal bill of up to £50 million.
Legal costs and financial strain
Speaking on Drivetime with Kevin O'Sullivan, the host was joined by royal biographer Angela Levin. O'Sullivan noted that a judge will decide who pays for the four-year case, which costs around £50 million. 'Harry is going to have to find a lot of money pretty damn quickly, and quite frankly, there is not a lot of money flowing into Montecito at the moment. Meghan is not at all pleased,' he said.
Angela Levin agreed, adding: 'If you think about how they're living they're much more rich than you imagine. Otherwise you're not going to buy a nice home in Portugal, you're going to be very careful.' However, she suggested Harry may seek financial help from King Charles. 'I think in the end they're going to get the King to do it. I hope he doesn't.'
Harry visited the UK in July to promote the Invictus Games in Birmingham. During the trip, King Charles met with Harry, Meghan, and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
