Meghan Markle's MasterChef appearance injures contestant

Meghan Markle's guest appearance on the latest episode of MasterChef Australia resulted in a contestant suffering a cut finger. The Duchess of Sussex appeared as a guest judge on the 18th season of the cooking show on Sunday.

Contestant cuts finger while preparing dish

During the episode, contestant Casper Kenworthy, 28, cut his finger while peeling ginger with a peeler. It was his first injury in the kitchen, and it happened in front of the duchess. "I've just cut my finger. It's the first time I've ever cut myself in this kitchen and it's in front of Meghan. Kind of embarrassing," he said.

Meghan's comments on the show

The episode was filmed during Meghan and Prince Harry's week-long trip to Australia in April. Meghan praised contestant Aaron Kher's dish but joked it packed too much spice for Harry, who greeted the Australian group with a "G'Day." She also said her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are great eaters who enjoy Brussels sprouts.
