Trevor Engelson attends Wimbledon as Princess of Wales makes appearance
Meghan Markle's former husband, Trevor Engelson, was spotted at the Wimbledon Championships this week, according to reports. The sighting comes as the Princess of Wales made her grand return to the tournament on Thursday.
The Duchess of Sussex was married to the US producer from 2011 until 2014, just two years before she started dating Prince Harry. Meghan and Trevor began dating in 2004 and married in a lavish ceremony in Jamaica in 2011. Two years later, the couple separated, and a year later, their divorce was finalised, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Long distance cited as factor in marriage breakdown
It has been reported that the long distance between the two – Meghan was filming Suits in Toronto at the time, while Trevor was based in Los Angeles – played a role in their marriage breakdown. The US producer, now 49, married Tracey Kurland, 40, the daughter of the late multi-millionaire businessman Stanford Kurland, in 2019.
The Daily Mail’s Diary Editor, Richard Eden, said: “I wonder if the Princess of Wales bumped into Meghan Markle’s husband during her visit to Wimbledon? I’m not referring to Prince Harry, 41, who is not due in Britain until next week, but to Meghan’s first husband, Trevor Engelson, who beat him to it.”
Engelson spotted with second wife at All England Club
Mr Eden added: “I spotted US television producer Engelson, 49, at the All England Club with his second wife, Tracey Kurland, 40, whom he married in 2019. While Harry has broken confidences in his tawdry memoir Spare, discreet Trevor has turned down numerous lucrative offers to speak about his ill-fated three-year marriage to actress Meghan, 44.”
It is unclear on which day Mr Eden allegedly spotted Trevor and there are currently no official pictures of him at the event.
Princess Catherine returns to Wimbledon
On Thursday, the Princess of Wales returned to Wimbledon for the first time this year. Princess Catherine, an avid tennis fan, looked incredible in a blue outfit as she arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis Club on day four of the tournament. Catherine wore a mid-blue blazer and colour-matching trousers and paired her suit with a white top. She finished her look with tan pointed heels.
