Meghan Markle has been advised by a brand and culture expert to follow three key steps to ensure her upcoming UK visit is a success. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, will travel to Britain next month with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, marking their first joint visit since 2022.
Expert Advice for a Successful Return
Brand and culture expert Nick Ede told the Daily Express exclusively that Meghan should engage in charitable work, support causes she is passionate about, and avoid using the trip for personal or commercial gain. “If Meghan wants to rebuild her relationship with the British public, it would be good to see her go back to some of the charities she supported when she was in the Royal Family,” Ede said. He added: “A successful return would focus on meaningful charitable engagements, supporting causes close to her heart and avoiding any perception that the visit is being used to promote a brand, project or media venture.”
Background of the Visit
The July visit will be the first time Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet have been in the UK since 2022. Prince Harry, 41, has made several solo trips to Britain, citing security concerns for his family. However, it is also believed that Meghan has had mixed feelings about Britain due to public perceptions. The family is expected to attend the one-year countdown event for the Invictus Games 2027 in Birmingham, where Meghan is likely to appear publicly with Harry.
Plans and Expectations
It remains unclear how many public appearances Meghan will make during the trip, or whether Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, will be seen in public. Reports indicate the family will stay at a royal residence and may spend time with King Charles, who is reportedly eager to meet his grandchildren after four years without seeing them.
