Meghan Markle has been savaged by royal fans ahead of her appearance on MasterChef Australia later this week. The 44-year-old filmed her scenes for the show during her visit to Australia with Prince Harry back in April.

Episode details and fan reaction

The Australian network and channel behind the production, Channel 10 and Endemol Shine, have revealed that the episode which features Meghan will air on Sunday, July 26 at 7pm [Australian time]. During the special episode, Meghan will task the contestants with creating a dish fit for a Duchess by making one seasonal ingredient the focus of their plate. The cooks then will have to explain the personal story or memory connected to their chosen produce.

Taking to Instagram, one shared: "We’re welcoming someone SUPER special into the MasterChef Kitchen ??????" Meghan's motivation

Meghan will then have to sample each dish alongside the judges. According to Mediaweek, there were two factors which made the royal agree to appearing on the show. She said: "What attracted me to the MasterChef Australia kitchen? Two things: my love of food and my love of Australia. It was an easy yes. It’s such a great show. I’m just really honoured that I was asked to be able to be here with you and to be able to judge some of these meals."
