Meghan Markle Mocked Over 'Kitchen Skills' in Parody Video

Meghan Markle was brutally mocked by fans over her kitchen skills after a parody video went viral on social media. The Duchess of Sussex recently shared a life update on her social media platforms, giving followers a glimpse into how the Sussex family is “springing into summer.”

The Post That Sparked Mockery

On Tuesday, Meghan posted a series of pictures and videos featuring her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie. Among the content was a short clip of the Duchess preparing either a bolognese or handmade burgers. In the clip, Meghan was seen chopping onions, but her technique did not impress several fans.

Parody Video Goes Viral

Shortly after the post, a parody video mocking Meghan’s onion-cutting skills went viral on X (formerly Twitter). A user with the handle @MarshatheGeezer posted a video of herself staring at an onion and two cloves of garlic on a chopping board before “attacking” them with a knife, mimicking the Duchess’s technique.

In the video, she said: “Okay, I don’t do this very often, but I’m going to show you my insane kitchen skills today.” The video quickly amassed tens of thousands of views and hundreds of comments.

Social Media Reactions

One user joked: “Your hair needs to be dragging along the tops of the produce and preferably across raw meat on the same cutting board.” Another commented: “You'll get at least THREE series out of Netflix for that!! Wonderful skills!!” A third user wrote: “I liked your video much better. Your 'table scape' was also much more appealing!!” A fourth quipped: “Hahaha. What did that poor onion ever do you? Now even onions have been Markled.”

Other Highlights from Meghan’s Post

In addition to the cooking clip, the carousel of images showed Prince Harry playing football with Prince Archie, Princess Lilibet wearing a Beyoncé t-shirt, and Meghan in a full denim outfit. The Duchess also shared produce from her garden and revealed that the family had welcomed a group of hatchlings, with a photograph of small, speckled eggs. The post included a card from Harry addressed to “the one and only,” given for their eighth wedding anniversary earlier this month. The family’s beagle, Mia, also made an appearance, along with a throwback snap of Harry and Meghan from March 2017, months before their engagement was announced in November.
