Meghan Markle faces fresh humiliation after Hollywood blow

Meghan Markle has faced fresh criticism on television after Ari Emanuel briefly spoke out about the end of their working relationship. In 2025, Emanuel confirmed that his agency, William Morris Endeavour (WME), had quietly ended its representation of the Duchess of Sussex after two years.

Emanuel Expresses Relief

In a new interview with The Sunday Times, the executive chairman expressed relief at no longer being responsible for managing Meghan. "Here's the great thing, I don't have to think about that anymore," he said.

Reacting to the latest developments, broadcaster Dee Dee Dunleavy believes it proves that no one in Hollywood wants to be associated with Meghan, 45, anymore. "It's really interesting because he's one of the biggest power players in Hollywood. So, he's used to dealing with all sorts of difficult characters as you can imagine," she told Rita Panahi on News24, formerly Sky News Australia.

Unusual Move in Hollywood

She acknowledged that this behaviour is particularly unusual because people in Hollywood typically avoid damaging professional relationships. However, Dee Dee believes that Emanuel has deliberately "burned bridges" with Meghan to ensure he has no association with her.

"The fact that he's come out and said something about a former client is extraordinary because in Hollywood, everyone wants to keep all their contacts up because you never know who's going to be involved in the next deal," Dee Dee mused. "You never know who's friends with who. Nobody wants to offend anyone.

"So, to come out and say something where he's effectively wiped her from his life means that he's burned that bridge, which also means that he doesn't care who knows that he doesn't want anything to do with her.

"This probably confirms what we already suspected and that is that she's just so on the nose in Hollywood nobody wants to be associated," Dee Dee added.

Background of the Partnership

Meghan signed with WME back in April 2023, where she was represented by a team of agents, including Emanuel, senior talent partner Brad Slater, and Jill Smoller. The agency was hired to boost her commercial and creative initiatives. However, it is believed that their partnership started to crumble within a matter of months.

Following reports that WME dropped Meghan in early 2025, insiders revealed that she was "too demanding" and "difficult to work with."
