The Duchess of Sussex has been criticised for posting a photograph of Prince Harry and their children that appears to have been taken on the grounds of Princess Diana's ancestral home, Althorp Estate.

Meghan Markle, 44, shared the image on Instagram, showing Prince Harry and Prince Archie carrying flowers while Princess Lilibet walks behind them. Fans quickly recognised the background as the Althorp Estate gardens, leading many to believe the photo was taken before the family visited Diana's resting place earlier this month during a UK trip. The duchess also shared other pictures from the family's visits to the UK and Portugal.
While Meghan may have seen no issue with posting the photograph, some royal fans disagreed.
Poll results and fan reactions
Following criticism, the Daily Express ran a poll asking whether Meghan should have posted the Althorp photograph. The poll ran from 9am on Sunday, July 26, to 4pm on Tuesday, July 28. Results showed 3,762 voted no, 162 voted yes, and 53 said they did not know. The article notes that the photograph was not taken at Diana's exact resting place.
On Facebook, one royal fan wrote: “Disrespectful as usual.” Another commented: “Is there anything she doesn't post?” A third said: “How absolutely tasteless!!” Another added: “So much for it being a private visit.”
It is not known whether Meghan will share more photographs from the family's time in the UK this month.
