The Duchess of Sussex has been pictured with Netflix chief Ted Sarandos and his wife Nicole Avant at a Montecito party, despite the streaming giant ending its partnership with her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
Prince Harry and Meghan attended the Beef Season Two Tastemaker event in California, mingling with guests including actor Orlando Bloom, singer Katy Perry, and former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau. Photographs show the Duchess with her arm around Mr Sarandos, and the two couples standing together with Meghan and Ms Avant holding hands.
The appearance comes after Netflix terminated its involvement with As Ever last month. A spokesperson for Meghan said the brand was "ready to stand on its own", while Netflix said it was "glad to have played a role" in launching the venture. The split follows figures showing Meghan's Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, failed to break into the platform's top 1,000 most-watched programmes.
Despite the end of the partnership, Harry and Meghan continue to work with Netflix on other projects under their lucrative first-look deal, thought to be worth over £74 million. A new polo-themed drama is in development, and the Sussexes have hinted at further announcements with Netflix and other streamers.
