It’s really no wonder Meghan Markle and Jameela Jamil are such firm friends, as they have one major thing in common – they both come across as though they hate the United Kingdom. For Jamil, it’s despite being a British citizen, and for Meghan, it’s despite being the actual Duchess of Sussex.
Support Through the Years
Jameela has supported Meghan like a best friend over the years, including making an appearance on her Archetypes Spotify podcast where she sang the Duchess’ praises. Jameela gushed on that show: “It’s just, it’s an unfathomable amount of sh** that you take, Meghan. I can’t believe it. And I fought back on your behalf for years before I’d ever met you, because I was so outraged by the twisting of this very normal, very kind, very civilised woman. That demonisation just shows how afraid they are of you.”
She added: “I’m so sorry you’ve had to withstand it. It has highlighted for us the intensity and unkindness and, and bigotry and misogyny of our media. And I think, and I hope, and I feel faith that the tides are changing because so many of us are fighting back.”
Jameela's Recent Comments
Now Jameela has hit out at the British public at large, stating on the Yestergays podcast: “Americans think British people are so sweet, which is so crazy because British people are truly the most evil people in history. They are Thanos. Britain is Thanos. They owe 43trillion to India. We colonise the world.”
There’s no acknowledgement of atrocities going on in places across the Middle East. There’s no mention of the Nazis. Of course Britain is not – and will never be – blameless, but it’s going a bit far to call us “the most evil in the world”. I also dislike the separation of “us” and “them” – Jameela is, after all, a British citizen.
Entitlement and Hypocrisy
No, Brits are bearing the brunt of Jameela’s wrath, and seeing as though Meghan is in Blighty – reluctantly – for the first time since 2022, despite being part of the Royal Family, the pair are practically dripping with scorn for Britain.
It’s another kick in the teeth coming from the mega-rich Jamil, who boasts a net worth of $12million. I wonder how much of her own money she’s donated to India, in that case? She has built a career off her British fans before moving to Hollywood, while Meghan had the UK taxpayer splash out on her royal wedding before ditching the country entirely.
It all reeks of entitlement, and I, for one, am utterly sick of the pair of them.
