Ruben Dias has been accused of reaching out to other women on social media while in a relationship with Maya Jama, according to reports. The Manchester City footballer dated the Love Island host for around 18 months before they split a few weeks ago.
Eagle-eyed fans claim the 29-year-old was 'toe-dipping' at points during their romance, allegedly following models and influencers late at night and unfollowing them the next morning if they did not follow back. Screenshots obtained by The Sun, thought to be from March, show him following and unfollowing model Catarina Duraes, with a similar incident involving a woman named Claire from Perth last November.
There is no suggestion that Dias cheated on Jama or messaged the women. However, an insider told The Sun: 'It might just seem like a simple follow online but it’s the intention behind it... It suggests he’s sat browsing Instagram and what happens if they do follow back or DM?' The source added that while Dias is now single, his actions while still with Jama 'will raise eyebrows'.
Jama and Dias are believed to have ended their relationship shortly before she left to film the upcoming season of Celebrity Traitors in Scotland. She will soon head to Spain for the new series of Love Island, while Dias will join the Portugal squad for the World Cup. A source previously said they 'had a wonderful time together' but reached a 'crossroads' due to their intense work schedules.
