Maya Jama is gearing up to host the upcoming 13th season of Love Island on Monday, and she has given the contestants a run for their money by slipping into an array of sexy swimwear for her new collaboration with Agent Provocateur. The 31-year-old presenter has signed a mega deal with the lingerie giant, and after fans were left in awe by the campaign snaps, Maya treated her Instagram followers to a slew of behind-the-scenes images from the shoot.
Maya's Sensational Photoshoot
Maya looked sensational in the shots, which showcased her toned figure in a black cut-away swimsuit and a tiny green two-piece. She also gave fans a look at her glam squad as she prepared for the photoshoot and showed off her best model poses in the images. The racy images instantly racked up thousands of likes on social media.
Ex-Boyfriend Rúben Dias in the Spotlight
Maya's ex-boyfriend, Manchester City footballer Rúben Dias, could be forgiven for thinking he scored a rare own goal after catching sight of Maya in her new lingerie campaign. The Portuguese centre-back ended his 18-month relationship with Maya in April, shortly before she filmed the second series of Celebrity Traitors in Scotland. Ruben, who recently celebrated a domestic double with City after winning the League and FA Cup in Pep Guardiola's final season, has since been accused of 'toe-dipping' on social media before breaking off the romance.
Love Island Season 13: New Changes and Risks
Ahead of the Love Island launch, ITV bosses have revealed they are taking a huge risk with the first episode in a bid to 'fight format fatigue' and boost viewing figures. Speaking to the Daily Mail from the Mallorca villa, producers Amanda Stavri and Lewis Evans teased a never-before-seen coupling up in the first episode. They said: 'We've got to fight format fatigue and find new things to do. It's really important that Love Island stays unpredictable. Viewers find it exciting when you pull the rug from under their feet and surprise them.'
While they aim to shake things up for loyal viewers, they reassured fans that favorites like Casa Amor, Movie Night, and Snog, Marry, Pie will all return. They also revealed plans to use the World Cup to their advantage this summer, with a marketing campaign called 'it's all kicking off'. The idea is that two big events—the World Cup and Love Island—will get everyone talking.
International Islanders and Casting Insights
The producers added that there is a good mix of islanders this year, teasing that international islanders could follow in the footsteps of last year's winner, Toni Laites. Speaking about the casting process, Amanda and Lewis explained that they always look for authenticity in the cast. 'This cast has an array of jobs. I mean, they're a great lot. There are a lot of normal jobs,' they said. They also noted that they have a pool of about 36 to 40 islanders in total, including bombshells waiting in the wings.
Several reality stars have been rumored to enter the villa, but producers shut down those rumors, saying it would 'have to make sense'. They referenced Joey Essex, who entered the villa last season partly because his ex-girlfriend Grace had been cast, making it a logical storyline.
Meet the 2026 Islanders
The new season features a diverse cast of islanders, including Jasmine, a 27-year-old fashion business owner from Dubai; Aidan, a 23-year-old property broker from Kent; Lorenzo, a 28-year-old business owner from Hertfordshire; Sam, a 25-year-old electrician from Dudley; Samraj, a 25-year-old model from Birmingham; Sean, a 25-year-old primary school teacher from Galway; Ope, a 27-year-old West-End performer from Lincolnshire; Mica, a 21-year-old student from Barbados; Lola, a 28-year-old detective from Kent; Angelista, a 24-year-old nurse from Staffordshire; Ellie, a 24-year-old real estate videographer from West Lothian; and Robyn, a 21-year-old quantity surveyor and DJ from Liverpool.
With a mix of personalities and backgrounds, the new season promises drama, romance, and unexpected twists. Love Island returns on Monday, and fans can expect a season full of surprises.
