This recent hospital dash comes just weeks after George was compelled to return for a medical scan. In December 2024, the musician underwent a critical procedure to have a pacemaker fitted after his mother, Babs, observed he had 'turned blue' and insisted he seek immediate emergency care. He later required a second operation to correct a misplaced wire, and has since been regularly sharing updates about his frequent hospital appointments.

On Tuesday morning, George took to his Instagram Stories to reveal the overnight emergency. He followed this with another clip where he was seen waiting outside an X-ray area in a hospital, captioning it 'Another scan...' In the video, he explained, 'So I'm just at the hospital in the building where I had all my heart surgeries done. I can't say it's good to be back, because it's not.'
He elaborated on the reason for the scan, stating, 'I've just had a scan done on my chest because I've had a bit of an issue with one of my lungs, apparently. Should be fine. It's just a precaution, but yeah. Back in my old second home.' George concluded with a thumbs-up and a wish for a good weekend to his fans, maintaining a positive outlook despite the circumstances.
