The Chase star Mark Labbett has made a candid admission about his love life during his debut on Celebs Go Dating. The 60-year-old, known as The Beast, told the agency's experts that he had been single for just over a year but missed the companionship that comes with a relationship.
In a heartfelt conversation with Paul C Brunson and Dr Tara, Labbett revealed that his weight has historically affected his dating prospects. "When you're up at 400 pounds, you don't do a lot of dating," he said, adding that he had "given up a little bit" due to lack of confidence.
Labbett was married to his second cousin Katie from 2014 to 2020, with the couple citing their age gap and lockdown pressures as reasons for their split. He later dated TV presenter Hayley Palmer for a year before they parted ways in May 2024, with Labbett saying, "It's me, I got old."
The late arrival joined the E4 dating agency after Christine McGuinness decided to leave the process, explaining that she needed to date in a more natural environment.
