Mark Labbett Apologises For Celebs Go Dating Outburst

Mark Labbett has admitted to getting frustrated on the set of Celebs Go Dating, leading to apologies to his co-stars for bursts of anger. The Chase star, also known as The Beast, said the long filming hours took a toll on him, as reality TV lacks the structured timing of the quiz show he is accustomed to.

Speaking to the Mirror, Labbett explained that he needs a 'social battery recharge' and believes he is on the autism spectrum, though he has not received a formal diagnosis. He added that his glucose levels spiked during filming due to his diabetes, contributing to his moodiness.

Labbett said he realised that similar behaviour occurs in his personal life, calling it a 'learning curve.' He plans to include breaks in future contracts, including time for naps and recharging. Filming was also paused after a health scare on set.

Despite the difficulties, Labbett said he is looking forward to the show's release, where he will search for love. He recently split from girlfriend Hayley in May 2024, a week after their one-year anniversary. Previously, he was married to Katie Labbett for seven years, sharing son Lawrence, born in 2018.
