Margot Robbie, the 35-year-old star of Wuthering Heights, has revealed her go-to foundations in a past interview with British Vogue. The actress, known for her flawless complexion, shared her favourites for everyday wear and special events, including a Japanese brand that she swears by for long-lasting coverage.
For everyday use, Robbie opts for Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser or Ellis Faas Skin Veil Foundation mixed with moisturiser. However, for events, she relies on Suqqu The Foundation, priced at $90 (£75). 'That sh*t doesn’t come off. It looks like skin, but it doesn’t budge. I haven’t found another foundation that stays on like that without looking heavy,' she said.
The Suqqu foundation, a Japanese brand, is infused with 13 Japanese-sourced extracts, including green tea and silk protein. It blends seamlessly, stays luminous throughout the day, and does not settle into fine lines or wrinkles, according to the article. The foundation is available in a jar, which some may prefer over pump-action bottles.
Robbie's makeup artist, Pati Dubroff, also uses Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation Hydration and Longwear in B30 on the actress. Dubroff described Robbie as 'a dream face to paint on' on Instagram. The Chanel foundation offers 23 shades and a three-stage wear process for prolonged radiance.
In an interview with Refinery29, Dubroff advised patience when applying finishing powder. 'The key is waiting 'til the end of the makeup to apply powder. If you try powdering right away, you end up having to put on too much,' she said. For drier skin, she recommended going back in with moisturiser on high points after foundation for a dewy look.
