Married at First Sight UK star Leisha Lightbody was rushed to hospital after being bitten on the face by a stray dog during her honeymoon in Thailand with husband Reiss Boyce. The incident occurred when she bent down to stroke the animal on the street, and the attack was caught on camera.
Leisha required an injection in her nose and arm to prevent infection. Initially, Reiss dismissed the bite as a 'scratch', but his wife insisted on hospital treatment. According to reports, the couple had a heated row over the trip, with Leisha feeling she had to ask Reiss to accompany her, rather than him offering support unprompted.
The attack comes as the pair have struggled to find romance since tying the knot on the E4 show. Reiss had previously criticised Leisha for being 'quite loud' and 'a little bit over the top', and visible tension emerged during a boat trip when she asked if he could visualise her in his future. He called the question 'pressure' and expressed disbelief.
At their wedding reception, Leisha and her bridesmaid grilled Reiss on his dating history, leaving him uncomfortable. Reiss, who discovered at age seven that the man he thought was his father was not his biological dad, has emphasised his desire for a lasting marriage, saying he has 'one shot' to make it work.
