Nicolas Jovanovic, the former Married At First Sight groom, has welcomed his first child with his wife Alex Caldwell. The 34-year-old shared the joyous news on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing the arrival of their baby daughter.
Announcing the New Arrival
'Welcome to the world, our baby girl Sofija,' Jovanovic wrote alongside sweet photos of the newborn wrapped in blankets. He did not disclose the exact birth date but expressed gratitude in the comments: 'Thank you everyone for all the beautiful words and kind messages! We are both so in love and so smitten with our little miracle.'
He also credited his wife Alex for capturing the photos 'with her magic capturing all our special moments.'

The post received an outpouring of congratulations, including from fellow Married At First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis, who commented, 'Omg congratulations you guys!' Mark Scrivens added, 'Brilliant, congrats team,' while Channel Nine reporter Marina Ivanovic chimed in with 'Congratulations'.
Previous Announcements and Wedding
The couple first announced their pregnancy in November last year with a post captioned 'Baby Jovanovic due May 2026,' accompanied by a yellow heart emoji. This announcement came just months after their wedding in the Hunter Valley, NSW. In June, the electrician-turned-reality-star shared photos from their ceremony at Redleaf in Wollombi, revealing they married on May 31. The post read: 'Mr and Mrs Jovanovic ~ 31.05.25.'
Nic proposed during a romantic trip to Lake Como, Italy. He first rose to fame on the 2019 season of Married At First Sight, paired with Cyrell Paule, known as 'Cyclone Cyrell.' The pair split before final vows but remained on good terms. Cyrell later moved on with Love Island Australia alum Eden Dally, and they share a son named Boston.
Nic kept his relationship with Alex mostly private, quietly debuting her on Instagram in July 2023 with a cosy photo of the couple together.
