MAFS Star KC Osborne Confirms Split from Fiancé Blake Spriggs
Married At First Sight star KC Osborne has publicly announced the end of her relationship with fiancé Blake Spriggs, following a tumultuous period marked by his life-threatening racing accident. The reality television personality, who appeared on the 2020 season of the Channel Nine series, shared the news via her Instagram Story, detailing the profound emotional impact of the past year.
A Relationship Forged in the Public Eye
KC Osborne and Blake Spriggs began their romance in January 2022, shortly after Blake began following KC on social media, having watched her televised marriage to Drew Brauer on MAFS. Their relationship progressed rapidly:
- They announced their engagement in August 2022 during a 'babymoon' in Hawaii.
- They welcomed their son, Brooklyn, in October 2022.
- Blake proposed just months after they revealed they were expecting their first child.
However, their journey took a devastating turn in January 2025 when jockey Blake suffered a horrific fall during a race at Moruya. The accident was career-ending and left him with catastrophic injuries.
The Trauma of Blake's Near-Fatal Accident
In her candid social media post, KC Osborne described the nightmare of Blake's recovery. She thanked her followers for their support during what she called "a tough 2025," indicating she would not speak on the matter again. The accident's severity was immense:
- Blake was placed in an induced coma with an uncertain prognosis.
- He required five blood transfusions during an emergency helicopter flight to hospital.
- His injuries included fractures on both shoulders, multiple broken ribs, two punctured lungs, and a haemorrhage near his liver.
- Complications arose, including pneumonia and kidney failure, necessitating dialysis.
KC revealed the immense personal toll, stating she would "come home and put on a happy face" to shield their son Brooklyn from the trauma. "I hid my pain and to be honest that experience is something I am still processing," she wrote.
Announcing the Split and Focusing on Co-Parenting
Despite Blake's miraculous recovery—KC previously labelled him the 'miracle man' for his determination to walk again and see Brooklyn grow—the couple has now parted ways. KC confirmed the split this week, stating simply, "2026 had another new beginning and, for all those asking, yes Blake and I have split."
She offered few details on the timing or reasons, describing the situation as "very heavy" and expressing sadness for her family. However, she emphasised their commitment to co-parenting. "Regardless, Brooklyn has two parents that love him dearly," KC affirmed, adding they feel lucky to have such a "beautiful, sweet-natured boy."
Looking forward, KC Osborne plans to focus on her son's transition, return to work, and pursue activities that bring her joy. "Everyone deserves to be happy," she concluded, marking a new chapter after years of public relationship milestones and private trauma.
