Made In Chelsea stars Sam Vanderpump and Alice Yaxley have announced that they are expecting their first child together. The couple shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of their hands touching a sonogram surrounded by flowers, alongside a picture of Sam kissing Alice's stomach.
Sam, 28, wrote in the caption: 'Life is full of surprises, but this is the best one yet. I can’t put into words how happy and excited we are!' The post quickly garnered congratulatory messages from fellow cast members, including Binky Felstead and Reza Amiri-Garroussi, as well as from fans.
The pregnancy announcement comes just months after the pair surprised fans by revealing their engagement in March, only six months after they started dating. Sam, whose aunt is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump, proposed after a serious health scare that involved liver and kidney failure and sepsis.
Sam explained that the health crisis, which nearly killed him, made him realise Alice was 'the girl he wanted to marry.' He said: 'That experience brought us very, very close. I think I walked out of that looking at Alice and thinking, “This is the girl I want to marry.” So my thinking was, “If I’m saying that now, why on earth am I waiting?”'
Made In Chelsea recently returned to screens on 15 September, and fans are expected to follow the couple's journey into parenthood on the show.
