Country star Luke Combs has been spotted playing golf at the prestigious Old Course in St Andrews after his two-night residency at Murrayfield Stadium last weekend.
The 36-year-old brought his My Kinda Saturday Night tour to Edinburgh for shows on Friday July 24 and Saturday July 25. He appears to have extended his visit to take in the seaside town of St Andrews, where he was photographed hitting golf balls at the famous course ahead of his London shows later this week.
In images posted on the Luke Combs HQ Facebook and Instagram accounts, Combs is dressed in a Nike Mountaineers football hoodie, beige shorts and a cap. He has a deep connection to the Appalachian State University Mountaineers, having attended the school in Boone, North Carolina, from 2008 to 2012. The singer began his music journey playing local college town venues, leaving just short of his senior year to pursue country music.
Surprise guests at Murrayfield show
Combs' Saturday night show at Murrayfield was particularly memorable as he was joined on stage by three famous Scots: Aston Villa captain John McGinn, Outlander star Sam Heughan and Rebus actor Richard Rankin. Heughan, dressed in a grey kilt with an open shirt, appeared delighted as he bounced up and down. McGinn kept it casual in black jeans, a white T-shirt and a trucker cap, while Rankin also wore a kilt. Each carried a can of Tennent's and took part in a shotgun beer challenge with the singer.

After Combs was seen in St Andrews, fans expressed delight that he had spent more time in Scotland. One fan replied: "So happy me and my daughter got to meet you x". Another commented: "Hope you got that 'birdie on a par 5.'" A third wrote: "We went to St Andrews for a couple of nights after seeing him at Murrayfield on Friday night. Must've just missed him! X" Someone else added: "Hubby had hoped he might have seen you at Gleneagles."
The singer is believed to have now landed in London as he prepares to play three nights at Wembley Stadium.
