Love Island star Yasmin Pettet has publicly denied 'laughable' rumours that she cheated on Jamie Rhodes with The Traitors' Freddie Fraser, following reports of their split. The couple, who met on the ITV2 show this summer, have confirmed they ended their romantic relationship before the National Television Awards (NTAs) last week.
In a statement on social media, Yasmin explained: 'We're still really good friends, and I'll always have so much love and care for him for making my Love Island experience what it was.' She dismissed the cheating claims, adding: 'I find it laughable that everyone thinks I cheated on Jamie with Freddie from Traitors, which is not true, and anyone who knows me knows my type is late 20s, 30s plus.'
Jamie also addressed the speculation on Instagram, clarifying that reports of him being upset at the NTAs were inaccurate. He said: 'I wasn't desperately trying to find Yas after the NTA's I was trying to hitch a ride back to my hotel... and when asked where Yas was and I said she f***ed off. This is what I say every time I'm with company and they leave.' He confirmed the split was amicable and occurred before the awards ceremony.
The pair have maintained a close friendship, with Jamie stating: 'Yasmin did not cheat on me nor was we in a relationship, we both have big love for one another and want the best for each of us.' The news comes weeks after Yasmin revealed they had not yet been intimate, citing the recent loss of her pet cat as a factor in their slow-paced romance.
