Tina Rad, the 25-year-old Love Island contestant from Newcastle who was recently dumped from the villa, has delivered a scathing assessment of her former co-star Aidan, calling him 'really irritating' and accusing him of playing games.
Tina Speaks Out on The Debrief
Appearing on the latest episode of Love Island: The Debrief alongside fellow eliminated Islander Tommy Murphy, Tina did not hold back when discussing her time in the villa. When asked if Aidan, whom she was partnered with before her departure, was the love of her life, she replied: 'Oh my god. No. Now I look back and I just think I'm not really bothered. It was only two days. It wasn't that deep.'
She went on to admit that Aidan's behaviour was 'really irritating,' particularly his constant talk about finding love on the show. However, she claimed viewers may have missed a sudden shift in the 23-year-old from Kent. 'Guys, I was shook when I seen his behaviour and what he was saying about me. It did not match up to what he was saying to me. We were flirting. We had a little weird peck, a weird kiss. So me just asking for a little tickle. I don't think it's that deep with the way you were going on,' she said.
The Firepit Confrontation
Host Shakira Khan, who did an impression of Aidan, questioned why Tina was so furious with him at the firepit. Tina responded that viewers 'don't see half of it.' She explained: 'When I first met Aidan I said to him, I was like, "I'm a bit unsure because I've seen the way you move." So, he was like, "No, we get along so well. Basically, pick me, couple up with me." He was so so nice. Soon as I picked him, he just switched up. No more eye contact, no more speaking, no more flirting. So I was confused.'
Tina added that she felt bewildered because everyone else in the villa, including Aidan's brother Kavan, maintained that Aidan genuinely fancied her. This left her feeling 'baffled,' especially after joining the series as a late bombshell.
Aidan's Lingering Feelings for Yasmin
There was also the matter of Aidan's lingering feelings for Yasmin, with whom he had previously been paired. Tina stated: 'Aidan's telling me, "You're my priority." He was like, "I've got feelings for Yas, but the chapter's completely shut because I won't be doing triangles. I'm not like that. I don't like it. I don't rate and I wouldn't do it in the outside world." And then to embarrass and belittle like that in front of a crowd. Nah, you had to go. And I've got a short temper on us. I can't lie.'
She concluded: 'I just felt like he was playing a game like don't lead us on. And as soon as I couple on with you, change it up and switch it up and especially in front of a crowd.'
