Love Island star Olivia Hawkins was left in tears after Too Hot To Handle star Louis Russell brutally rejected her on the latest episode of Celebs Go Dating. The TV personality wiped away tears as she spoke to expert Paul C Brunson about the ghosting incident.
Olivia, who shared a kiss with Louis during the show's trip to Ibiza, said the 23-year-old made "no consistent effort" to contact her after they returned. She even made the first move by texting him to ask if he wanted to go to see Usher, but he never replied.
Speaking to the agents, she said: "I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and I asked him out on a date. I messaged him and said 'Do you want to go to Usher?' and he didn't reply." Expert Paul C Brunson advised her to stop handing over control to men and instead "write my own story". He said her pattern of seeking unhealthy communication was a form of "repetition compulsion".
His advice moved Olivia to tears as she said: "The more I tell myself I'm worthy and I deserve true love and I don't deserve to be treated like that." She added: "It's so triggering for me... I'm sorry, I promised myself I wasn't going to cry again. I think I have just lost confidence and it's just be building it again."
