Love Island's Lorenzo has admitted that he "just wanted a fun summer," which led him to say yes to show bosses when he was approached to take part earlier this year.
During an exclusive chat with the Daily Star before heading to the villa, Lorenzo admitted: "I just wanted a fun summer and I thought, if love comes at the end of it then that would be brilliant!"
"It's a crazy, once in a lifetime experience so I thought it would be silly not to take part in. It's a lovely time…sit there, tan, talk to all the girls and see where it takes us."
The reality TV star has been turning on the charm in the villa while his friends and family watch from back home. His loved ones were baffled when he told them what he'd signed up for: "They just couldn't believe it, they think it will be hilarious."
"When Love Island first approached me in January, I think it was? I just kept it to myself and things like that. Then it sort of progressed and I told people, they just thought it was hilarious."
"I said at the start of this year that I was going to have a sensible year. That hasn't really panned out, has it? They just think it's hilarious. I'm looking forward to getting the reactions from them when I leave!"
As for what he's looking for in the villa, Lorenzo is hoping to bag a baddie with a bubbly personality. He spilled: "I want someone fun and ready to live life to the fullest. That's the way I see my future going, with a partner. I always want a potential girlfriend to be just as crazy, just as outgoing and ready to live life to the max."
Lorenzo's journey on Love Island continues as he searches for a connection under the Mallorca sun.
