Love Island's Lola Deal Names 'Gent' Who Caught Her Eye - Not Sean

Love Island's Lola Deal has revealed that Samraj Toor would have been her pick if she hadn't coupled up with Sean FitzGerald, describing him as a 'gent'. The revelation came during the couple's appearance on Love Island: Aftersun after their dramatic exit from the villa.

Lola and Sean Volunteer to Leave

Lola Deal and Sean 'Fitzy' FitzGerald were dumped from the Love Island villa after volunteering to leave. The pair, who coupled up at the start of Series 13, were in the bottom three couples alongside Mica Harris and Samraj Toor, and Casa Amor newcomers Martha Rothwell and Jordon Wilson. Fellow Islanders Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak, crowned the public's favourite couple, were tasked with choosing which couple to eliminate. Lola and Sean volunteered to go, sparing Lorenzo and Julia from the difficult decision.

Alternative Romantic Interests Revealed

During their Aftersun interview, presenter Maya Jama asked the couple about potential alternative romantic interests. Sean revealed he could have seen himself with Yasmin Hadlow, citing 'how nice she is'. Given that Yasmin was Lola's closest friend in the villa, Sean's response was seen as diplomatic.

Lola admitted there were 'a couple' of possibilities. Her first choice was eliminated Islander Sam Workman, whom she called her 'little bestie'. 'Sam was my little bestie in there from the start and he was the sweetest boy, so obviously a lot of love for Sam,' she said. Her second choice was Samraj Toor. 'For the longest time, I would say Samraj. He's such a gent,' she added.

Reflections on Their Departure

Reflecting on their exit, Lola described it as 'the perfect end to our journey'. She said: 'Me and Sean were really happy to have gone. I think we had the most incredible time there. We met the most incredible people and most of all, we found each other.'

She added: 'The other two couples there had so much left to give and so much left to learn about themselves, whereas me and Sean were in a really good place. Being able to take the burden off Lorenzo, just having to pick, because we know how much he struggled the last time, was nice. We went in there for love and we found that, so there was nothing more we needed from it.'

Since leaving the villa, Lola and Sean have secured a 'little apartment' together in Dublin and are planning their future.
