Love Island Winners Kai and Sanam Marry in Intimate Ceremony with One Celebrity Guest

Love Island 2023 winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan tied the knot in a romantic ceremony at High House near Chelmsford on Saturday, 2 August. The couple, who won the winter series of the ITV2 show in March 2023, exchanged vows in front of 60 close friends and family, just 15 months after announcing their engagement.

In an exclusive interview, the couple revealed that they prioritised an intimate atmosphere, inviting only one celebrity guest: former Love Island contestant Ron Hall. Kai explained, 'We just don’t have friends from the show like that. That’s just how life goes.' The guest list was carefully curated to ensure every attendee had a genuine, close relationship with the couple.

Kai described the speeches as one of the most emotional moments of the day, saying, 'You never realise how much people care until they stand up and say it out loud. It really hit me how much love was in that room.' Sanam, a social worker from Bedford, shared that her favourite moment was walking down the aisle, calling it 'the best feeling ever.'

Despite the limited guest list, many former Love Island stars sent congratulations via social media. Tasha Ghouri, Lucie Rose Donlan, Casey O'Gorman, Liam Reardon, Wes Nelson, Zachariah Noble, Chyna Mills, Jessie Wynter, and Lana Jenkins were among those who shared their best wishes.

Kai, a schoolteacher, and Sanam met on the reality dating series during Casa Amor and remained coupled until the end. They announced their engagement in April 2024 after Kai proposed during a romantic gondola ride in Cambridge. Reflecting on their journey, Kai said, 'It’s not about chasing fame. It’s about finding someone, and staying true to who you are.'
