Love Island star Ellie Chadwick has revealed she is taking her boyfriend Finley Maddock to her Scottish hometown to meet her loved ones. The West Lothian native said she is bringing the Welsh contestant back to West Lothian, where she hopes he and her friends and family will become better acquainted.
Appearance on Love Island Final
The couple were guests on the Love Island 2026 final on Monday night (July 27), where host Maya Jama spoke to contestants past and present about their whirlwind romances. When asked how things were going between the pair, a beaming Ellie said it is actually going really good, and Finley echoed that sentiment, saying he couldn't be happier.
Friends and Family Approval
Maya then asked what Ellie's friends thought of Finley after he was briefly paired with Elicia Bailey. While Finley seemed hesitant to answer, he happily explained that Ellie's pals were warming to him, adding that he has even had a few video calls with them. Ellie's trip back to West Lothian with Finley cements their relationship as strong after she decided to leave the villa of her own accord when Finley was voted out.
Leaving the Villa Together
Rather than staying in the villa after Finley got voted out, the real estate videographer decided to follow her heart and leave with him. Following Finley's exit, Ellie declared, "I'm going guys, I'm doing it," as tears streamed down her face. At the time, she confirmed she was happy with her decision and said she had found what she was looking for in Finley. As Finley asked if she was sure, she stated, "No one's going to come in, I'm not interested it would be a waste of my time." Holding each other, Finley added, "I'm really looking forward to the next phase," to which Ellie replied, "Me too."
Past Turbulence
Things were not always smooth for the couple. During the series, Finley briefly ended up with bombshell Elicia Bailey, who stole him in a recoupling, resulting in a love triangle. Finley and Elicia even shared a steamy kiss during a date, but Finley eventually called things off and returned to Ellie.
