Love Island's Ched Uzor Announces Engagement

Former Love Island contestant Ched Uzor has announced his engagement, sending fans into a frenzy with a romantic social media post showing off his partner's impressive new ring.

The Romantic Instagram Reveal

The 29-year-old fitness coach took to his Instagram page on Thursday to share the happy news. In the snap, Ched is pictured from behind on a beach, locked in an embrace with his fiancée, whose face is not shown. The focus of the image is the gleaming, sizable engagement ring on her hand as she hugs him.

He captioned the moment simply: 'Forever, my lover,' and tagged the location as Costa Mujeres, on the northside of Cancun, Mexico. The post also revealed his fiancée's Instagram handle as @vbsxx, though he has consistently kept her name private from the public.

Flood of Congratulations from Love Island Co-Stars

The announcement was swiftly met with a wave of congratulatory messages from his reality TV peers. Molly Smith, 31, who recently got engaged to her own Love Island All Stars co-star Tom Clare, wrote: 'Congratulations!!!'.

Fellow islander Luke Mabbott, 30, commented: 'Congratulations bro!', while Biggs Chris, 33, added: 'Jheeez congratulations to you both.'

Fans were equally thrilled, flooding the comments with messages like: 'Tell me why I'm crying again! Congratulations love you forever' and 'Oh this is just the cutest. Massive congratulations to you both!'

From Villa Romance to Lasting Love

Ched, a fitness enthusiast, first went Instagram-official with his now-fiancée a few months ago, sharing a photo of them looking glamorous at a friend's wedding. He first found fame on the first winter series of Love Island in 2020, entering the villa on day 21.

He coupled up with Jess Gale, then 24, and the pair's connection was instant, described as 'getting on like a house on fire'. They successfully navigated their way to the final, ultimately finishing in fourth place, losing out to winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp.

However, their romance was short-lived, and they parted ways just three months after the show ended in February 2020. Now, four years later, Ched has clearly found his forever match, marking a new chapter far from the villa spotlight.
