Love Island 2023 winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan tied the knot in a ceremony at High House near Chelmsford on Saturday, 2 August, with just 60 guests in attendance. The couple, who won the winter series of the ITV2 show in March 2023, invited only one former Love Island star: Ron Hall.
Speaking exclusively about their decision, Kai said: “We just don’t have friends from the show like that. That’s just how life goes.” He added: “We only had 60 guests. Looking around, we realised every single person there had a genuine, close relationship with us. That never happens in real life – everyone in the same room, at the same time.”
Kai described the speeches as one of the most emotional moments, saying: “You never realise how much people care until they stand up and say it out loud. It really hit me how much love was in that room.” Sanam shared that her favourite moment was walking down the aisle, calling it “the best feeling ever”.
The couple got engaged in April 2024, when Kai proposed during a gondola ride in Cambridge. Since leaving the villa, they have stayed grounded, with Kai noting: “It’s not about chasing fame. It’s about finding someone, and staying true to who you are.”
