One of the participants from last year's series of Love Island has revealed their astonishment after an unexpected 'bombshell' seemed to enter the villa.
ITV's popular reality dating programme has reached its final week for the 13th series of the show. Most Islanders appear to have now found their footing in their couples as they near the grand finale and discover who will depart with a substantial cash prize.
The journey has been filled with dramatic developments and surprises, with some partnerships facing more challenges than others. One such pairing has been Kavan Murphy and Jasmine Muller.
Kavan entered as an early bombshell, much to the astonishment of his older brother Aidan who was already residing in the villa. He swiftly captured Jasmine's interest, and the duo became close. However, Kavan chose to return with Irish influencer Charleen Murphy following Casa Amor. Jasmine found herself unattached as a consequence, reports OK!
The pair have reignited their romance since then, with Kavan promptly calling time on his connection with Charleen to reunite with Jasmine. Throughout the past week, audiences have watched friends and family members enter the villa and been given the opportunity to express precisely how they feel.
This included Jasmine's mother alongside her younger sister Bella. It emerged that Bella caused as much of a stir as some of the bombshells who have featured during this series. She even dragged Aidan aside for a conversation while she was there, though she made clear it was 'brother to sister'. Nevertheless, Aidan, who is paired with Priya, clearly couldn't shake thoughts of Jasmine's sister following her appearance.
Shakira and Toni discuss the chat
Speaking on Love Island The Debrief, Shakira Khan kicked off a discussion about Aidan and Bella saying: "Miss Bella, a new bombshell has entered the villa! What the hell is going on?".
Reigning Love Island champion Toni Laites added: "What was the purpose to that chat?" To which Shakira offered: "I'm not going to lie, I think Bella was feeling it a bit. I kind of ship it (Aidan and Bella), as much as I love Priya."
Ellie Chadwick, who appeared as a guest on the programme after her departure, admitted: "She's got aura." Yasmin Pettet suggested: "I think it was just the in-laws meeting, like a friendly chat."
However, Shakira remained unconvinced there wasn't something more beneath the surface. She continued: "I think you can do that in front of all the family though. I think low-key Bella was having a bombshell moment."
Toni said: "I feel like the craziest part about all of that was when Aidan went over to Jas and said 'well what did she say about me?'".
Shakira concluded: "It's just so stupid though, a week to go and it wasn't even like one time he brought it up. He told Samraj about it, then he told Samraj and Lorenzo then he went over and told Jasmine and Kavan."
Viewers are eagerly anticipating the repercussions of Aidan's conversation with Jasmine's sister. A teaser for the forthcoming episode reveals Priya being informed about the situation, while Aidan is grilled on whether the chat held any significance.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
