Love Island viewers have decided who they think is the most "fame hungry couple" on the series. The format of the ITV2 dating show is meant to allow singletons to find love in a glamorous villa, but it's no secret that it has served as a launchpad for now-mainstream celebrities.
Since it all began, public figures like Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, Loose Women star Olivia Attwood and former Strictly Come Dancing finalist Amber Davies, amongst a whole host of others, have built successful media careers after impressing the public.
Maya Jama reveals voting results
During Thursday night's episode, Maya Jama told this year's contestants that the public had been voting on various questions and the show's viewers spoke out in their thousands to have their say.
Maya delivered the news that in third place was couple Julia and Lorenzo and just ahead of them were runners-up Mica and Samraj and, in being named the most fame-hungry contestants, Priya and Aidan landed in first place.
Reactions from the islanders
Reacting to the result, Priya said: "It's obvious. We aren't the strongest couple right now, we're not but I am here to find genuine love."
Just before the results were delivered, the Islanders were asked for their own opinions on the matter and some had named Priya and Aidan as their number one most fame-hungry. Speaking to Simba, Aidan raged: "You can't come to me bro, I'm not having that," in a tense moment.
Viewers react on social media
Viewers at home were also quick to react to the verdict as it was read out on screen, with one fan writing on X: "strongest couple doesn’t equal fame hungry, they said you’re fame hungry."
Another said: "Yesterday Julia said “ I’m a celebrity get me outta here ”, today she put everyone on “DND” and from day dot she’s backed herself on her ones. …idk if she’s fame hungry but she’s defo iconic."
A third wrote: "Julia is the least fame hungry person, she was the one who said don’t bring up other seasons. If we are gonna be 100 it’s Priya & Aidan, and Jasmine & Kavan."

Earlier tensions in the villa
Earlier in the week, property broker Aidan, 23, came under fire from the public and his fellow contestants for the way he spoke, and swept the board on Wednesday night's episode during the Graftie Awards, scooping up publicly voted titles of Flirtiest Performance, Plot Twist Award, and Raunchiest Moment.
Things had been going well with Priya but he then made a comment about his significant other, claiming that she "pounced" on him when they were in bed.
After it all played out, Priya and Aidan had a heart-to-heart about where they are at as a couple as they went on their first date, with Aidan trying to explain that he doesn't necessarily have feelings for the business development manager, 25, but still hopes to build some sort of future with her.
